Commission Procedure and Agreement

This page outlines the general expectations and responsibilities for both the artist (me) and the client for a custom watercolor commission.
Please follow through and fill out the form at the end if you would like to request a commission.
After submission, I will review and send a formal custom contract that will lock in the specifics for your painting.

What You’ll Get

A hand-painted watercolor portrait of your beloved pet or prized car, made with care and attention to detail. Each painting is created using high-quality watercolor materials, sometimes with gouache or ink details.

Scope of Work

You are commissioning a custom, hand-painted watercolor artwork based on the subject, size, and reference images we’ve discussed (either a pet portrait, a car painting, or a house painting).

The Process

Photo Submission

You’ll provide clear, high-resolution photos of your pet or car. For pets, I need front-facing images showing as much detail as possible. For cars, you can choose either a detail shot or a full car "portrait."

Initial Sketch & Composition Approval

I will create a sketch and basic composition. You’ll approve the layout, pose, color palette, and overall look. Once approved, I will begin painting, and major changes cannot be made after this stage.

Painting Progress & Feedback
As I move through each stage (early color, detail, and finishing touches), I’ll send updates. You’re welcome to give feedback up until the detail stage, but changes must not affect the previously approved composition or color palette.

Important Note:

Watercolor is not like acrylic or oil—it can't be painted over. Once I start painting, major revisions are not possible.

Final Painting & Delivery

Once complete, I’ll send you a final image. After approval and payment, the painting will be shipped.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • The 50% deposit is non-refundable.

  • If the project is canceled during the sketch and composition stage, only the deposit will be retained.

  • If the project is canceled after painting has begun, no refunds will be issued.

  • If I am unable to complete the work for any reason, you’ll receive a full refund including the deposit.

Timeline & Delivery

  • Turnaround time is usually 2–3 weeks from when the deposit and contract are received.

  • Shipping is not included in the commission price.

  • I ship securely but am not responsible for carrier delays.

What I Don’t Do

  • No NSFW or offensive content

  • No commercial use unless previously agreed upon in writing

  • No tracing or reproducing copyrighted images

Artist Note about Communication

Communication during the painting stage will be important. I’ll reach out with sketches, updates, and questions- please respond promptly to keep everything on track!

However, if you would like a more laid back approach, I'm willing to have creative control over the painting and surprise you at the end. Just know that I put my heart into every single painting, and I want to make a painting that you will love and cherish.

Commission Request

Please fill out the form below to request a commissioned painting. I will review, and upon acceptance, send you a detailed contract with pricing, payment information and painting expectations. I will not start the painting until that contract is signed and the 50% deposit is sent.
There is no fee for filling out the form below.

Type of Commission
Painting Size

Does you car, pet, or home have a particular quirk that isn't captured well in photos? Does your pet have a goofy smile that you want to emphasize? Does your car have a feature that you spent hours looking at and admiring? Does your home glow a certain way during sunset? Describe it here! Any emotional connection you have to your subject will help me capture that beauty in the painting.

Please upload your favorite, front facing, and clear photos of your subject. If you are requesting a car painting, you can submit photos at a different angle or a detail shot.
